Sigmoid Volvulus in a Young Adult With Cerebral Palsy: A Case Managed by the Paul‐Mikulicz Procedure

ABSTRACT A 25‐year‐old male with cerebral palsy presented with sigmoid volvulus complicated by ischemia and fecal impaction—an underrecognized but serious risk in this population. Emergency Paul‐Mikulicz colostomy achieved safe resection. Clinicians should suspect volvulus early in CP patients, and proactive bowel management is essential.
