Colour flow Doppler echocardiography in normal horses

Equine Veterinary Journal, 1995
Summary Colour flow Doppler echocardiography is a technique that is used with two‐dimensional (2‐D) echocardiography to study blood flow patterns in the heart and blood vessels. This method was used to define normal flow patterns and to evaluate valvular function in 40 clinically normal Thoroughbred and Thoroughbred cross horses. Flow

Case report: Paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma — Colour Doppler appearances

Clinical Radiology, 1995
Paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare tumour of childhood and early adult life. We report a case in which the paratesticular location and colour Doppler appearances led to confusion with epididymitis.

Colour doppler velocity imaging of the myocardium

Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology, 1992
A technique has been developed for producing images of the velocity of tissue motion within the myocardium. It has been demonstrated that Colour Flow Doppler imagers can be operated to depict the velocities within the myocardium rather than moving blood in the cardiac chambers. The technique exhibits the normal advantages of diagnostic ultrasound, i.e.,

Doppler colour flow imaging after carotid endarterectomy

European Journal of Vascular Surgery, 1991
Sixty-six patients (72 carotid arteries) were examined after carotid endarterectomy (CEA) using Doppler colour flow imaging (DCFI). Examinations were performed 4-18 days (mean: 7 days) after surgery (32 patients, 34 arteries) or between 2 and 100 months (mean: 39 months) after CEA (34 patients, 38 arteries).

Colour Doppler ultrasound in renal transplant artery stenosis: Which Doppler index?

Clinical Radiology, 1995
A prospective study comparing colour Doppler ultrasound (US) with the 'gold standard' of intra-arterial digital subtraction angiography in the evaluation of renal transplant artery stenosis was performed. Both the intrarenal vessels and the transplant renal artery were examined by Doppler US.

Colour Doppler Sonography in Obstetrics

2017
The minimum frequency of transducer should be 7.5 MHz in early pregnancy (up to 8 weeks) and 5 MHz in 9–13 weeks of pregnancy. A duplex Doppler or a triplex Doppler capability is essential for displaying Doppler waveforms and for calculating the resistance index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) and also the A/B ratio (peak systolic/end diastolic ratio).

Doppler colour flow imaging

Nature, 1987
AbstractBy simultaneous processing of frequency, phase, and amplitude information in the backscattered ultrasound signal, new instruments now permit the realtime display of high‐resolution grey scale images of tissue combined with the simultaneous display of flow data from vessels within the scan plane.

Transcranial Colour Doppler Sonography (TCDI)

2014
Development of the ultrasound methods for the intracranial arterial system followed the evaluation of the extracranial arterial system and the transfontanellar techniques because of the difficulty of penetrating the skull in older children and adults.
