Colour display gamuts and ambient illumination

Displays, 1994
Abstract Researchers and designers who work with self-luminous colour displays often draw figures to show the colours that their displays can produce. The production and interpretation of such figures involve nuances that are not always understood and, particularly in cases involving ambient illumination, therefore lead sometimes to erroneous ...

Colour gamut of natural dyes on cotton yarns

Coloration Technology, 2001
Cotton fibres were dyed using various natural dyes alone and in combination to yield six basic shades: blue, yellow, red, black, green and fawn. These dyed fibres were then blended in various proportions along with undyed cotton fibres and spun on a rotor‐spinning machine to produce 204 coloured yarns.

Improvements to Gamut Mapping Colour Constancy Algorithms

2000
In his paper we introduce two improvements to the three-dimensional gamut mapping approach to computational colour constancy. This approach consist of two separate parts. First the possible solutions are constrained. This part is dependent on the diagonal model of illumination change, which in turn, is a function of the camera sensors.

A Fast Algorithm for Computing the Colour Gamuts of Subtractive Colour Mixtures

The Journal of Photographic Science, 1989
AbstractIn colour photography, the need to compute colour gamuts for the evaluation of the spectral distribution of dyes used in colour reproduction makes fast and accurate algorithms to achieve this computation valuable.Presented here is an exceptionally fast algorithm used to compute the colour gamuts of subtractive colour mixtures such as in ...
