Abstract In this paper, we propose a modelling tool for hybrid flexible systems: Coloured Batches Petri Nets. This model is based upon the Batches Petri Nets, in order to model the hybrid behaviour and the accumulation phenomena and an extension of Coloured Petri Nets so as to model the flexibility.

Coloured Petri Nets: Status and Outlook
2003This talk presents my personal view of the current status of high-level Petri Nets, in particular Coloured Petri Nets. What have we achieved over the last 25 years and what are the main challenges that need to be addressed in order to make high-level Petri nets more useful, e.g., to the software industry?

An introduction to the practical use of coloured Petri Nets
1998The development of Coloured Petri Nets (CP-nets or CPN) has been driven by the desire to develop a modelling language - at the same time theoretically well-founded and versatile enough to be used in practice for systems of the size and complexity found in typical industrial projects. To achieve this, we have combined the strength of Petri nets with the

Hierarchical Coloured Petri Nets
1992In Chaps. 1 and 2 we presented non-hierarchical CP-nets. In this chapter we shall see how these can be extended to hierarchical nets, i.e., how it is possible to construct a large CP-net by combining a number of smaller nets. A hierarchical CP-net can be constructed top-down, bottom-up, or by mixing these two strategies.

Jensen’s Coloured Petri Nets (CP-nets) are taken as the starting point for the development of a specification technique for complex concurrent systems. To increase its expressive power CP-nets are extended by including capacity and inhibitor functions. A class of extended CP-nets, known as P-nets, is defined that includes the capacity function and the ...

Annotating Coloured Petri Nets
2002Coloured Petri nets (CP-nets) can be used for several fundamentally different purposes like functional analysis, performance analysis, and visualisation. To be able to use the corresponding tool extensions and libraries it is sometimes necessary to include extra auxiliary information in the CP-net.
