Collagen-Tannic Acid Spheroids for β-Cell Encapsulation Fabricated Using a 3D Bioprinter. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Mater Technol, 2022
This work develops a high‐throughput methodology using a 3D bioprinter to encapsulate β‐cells in a collagen bioink crosslinked with tannic acid. These results demonstrate that the high‐throughput approach facilitates the fabrication of a cell encapsulation system that ensures the survival and functionality of insulin‐producing β‐cells.

Data Association Methodology to Improve Spatial Predictions in Alternative Marketing Circuits in Ecuador. [PDF]

open access: yesComput Intell Neurosci, 2018
This work proposes a methodology that reduces the error of future estimations in commercialization based on multivariate spatial prediction techniques (cokriging) considering the products with strong associations. It is based on the Apriori algorithm to find association rules in sales of agricultural products of local markets.

The effect of antifungal extracts on the contamination of grain with microfungi

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 8, Issue 3, Page 1375-1382, March 2020., 2020
This paper focusses on the application of natural products for the protection of food raw materials against microfungal contamination. It is not possible to completely prevent grain contamination, because the reduction of the amount of predominant microfungi on grain creates conditions for the reproduction of propagules of other fungi.
