Flexiblity of Using Com-Poisson Regression Model for Count Data

open access: yesStatistics, Optimization & Information Computing, 2018
The Poisson regression model is the most common model for fitting count data. However, it is suitable only for modeling equi-dispersed distribution. The Conway-Maxwell-Poisson (COM-Poisson) regression model allows modeling over and under-dispersion distribution.

Prediction of Properties of Polymer Composite Formulations Using Ensemble Models With Feature Generation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
This study develops an interpretable machine‐learning framework to predict multiple properties of polymer composites based on composition and processing variables. By combining ensemble models with composition‐based feature generation and SHAP‐based interpretation, the approach reveals composition‐property relationships and supports efficient multi ...

Exploring the influencing factors of adverse drug reaction reporting among medical personnel: a COM-B model-based study

open access: yesJournal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice
Background This study aims to identify the factors that influence medical workers’ enthusiasm for reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Understanding these factors is essential to implement targeted interventions that can improve and refine ...

Design of Experiments‐Based Optimization of Recovered Carbon Black–Reinforced Isobutylene–Isoprene Rubber in Comparison With Conventional Carbon Black Systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Optimized potential of rCB via DOE: recovered carbon black from end‐of‐life tires was assessed as a full substitute for conventional carbon black in IIR composites. DOE and response surface methodology optimized rCB loading, plasticizer, and sulfur contents. Hardness showed linear trends, while rupture energy was nonlinear.

Barriers and facilitators to self-management in postoperative survivors of glioma in early-to-middle adulthood: A qualitative study using the COM-B model

open access: yesActa Psychologica
Objective: To systematically identify barriers and facilitators to self-management in postoperative patients with glioma in early-to-middle adulthood, utilising the Capability, Opportunity, Motivation-Behaviour (COM-B) model. Methods: Employing purposive

Tooth eruption status and bite force determine dental microwear texture gradients in albino rats (Rattus norvegicus forma domestica)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Dental microwear texture analysis (DMTA) is widely applied for inferring diet in vertebrates. Besides diet and ingesta properties, factors like wear stage and bite force may affect microwear formation, potentially leading to tooth position‐specific microwear patterns.

Hearing from Fathers: Barriers to Fatherhood Engagement for Abu Dhabi’s Young Children of Determination through an Ecological COM-B Analysis

open access: yesGulf Education and Social Policy Review
Fatherhood engagement remains vital for early childhood development, particularly among young children of determination (YCOD). However, research and policy often marginalize fathers, framing their roles through mother-centric lenses or as limited to ...

Estimating Regression Effects In Com Poisson Generalized Linear Model

open access: yes, 2009
Com Poisson distribution is capable of modeling the count responses irrespective of their mean variance relation and the parameters of this distribution when fitted to a simple cross sectional data can be efficiently estimated using maximum likelihood (ML) method.

Unfused transverse foramen of the atlas vertebra in the Neandertal lineage fossils

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract In anatomically modern humans, the atlas can display an unfused transverse foramen (UTF) but currently the presence of UTF in the Neandertal lineage is uncertain due to a scarcity of prevalence studies and no exhaustive record of its presence throughout the entire hominin fossil record.
