Effect of Two Therapeutic Renal Diets on Hormonal and Regulatory Pathways Affecting Calcium Homeostasis in Cats With Early‐Stage Chronic Kidney Disease

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a known risk factor for hypercalcemia in cats. Phosphate‐restricted diets have also been implicated in causing hypercalcemia, in part because phosphate restriction increases the Ca:P ratio. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of two different therapeutic renal foods on ionized (iCa ...

Beyond Geography: Climatic Gradients Shape Reeves's Muntjac Population Structure in Taiwan

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
North–south population split in Reeves's muntjac revealed by genome‐wide SNPs. Parallel divergence patterns across mammals in Taiwan suggest shared environmental drivers. Demographic modeling supports historical isolation and asymmetric gene flow.

A long-term perspective on Neanderthal environment and subsistence: Insights from the dental microwear texture analysis of hunted ungulates at Combe-Grenal (Dordogne, France)

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2023
Large bovids and cervids constituted major components of the European Middle Palaeolithic faunas and hence a key resource for Neanderthal populations. In paleoenvironmental reconstructions, red deer (Cervus elaphus) occurrence is classically considered ...

Cech cover of the complement of the discriminant variety. Part I: Goresky--MacPherson stratification

open access: yes, 2020
Interest in Conformal Field Theories and Quantum Field Theory lead physicists to consider configuration spaces of marked points on the complex projective line, $Conf_{0,d}(\mathbb{P})$.

Cardiorespiratory Fitness, Functional Fitness and Body Composition Among Breast Cancer Survivors With 8 Weeks of Exercise Training: A Randomised, Controlled Non‐Inferiority Trial Comparing Remotely‐Supported and Partly‐Supervised Interventions

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background This randomised, controlled non‐inferiority trial investigated whether 8 weeks of remotely‐supported exercise training changes cardiorespiratory fitness, functional fitness and body composition by a magnitude that is not meaningfully inferior to changes caused by partly‐supervised exercise training.

Potential for stratiform base-metal sulphides in SW England [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The British Geological Survey (BGS) has recently re-evaluated the potential for stratiform base-metal sulphide mineralisation in Devon and east Cornwall (Rollin et al., 2001) (Figure 1). On the basis of their stratigraphy and tectonic setting the Lower

Landslides on Ceres: Diversity and Geologic Context. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Landslides are among the most widespread geologic features on Ceres. Using data from Dawn's Framing Camera, landslides were previously classified based upon geomorphologic characteristics into one of three archetypal categories, Type 1(T1), Type 2 (T2 ...

Taxonomic investigation of Abrothallus (Abrothallales, Ascomycota) species associated with lichen genera Ramalina and Bryoria, including the description of a new species

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 2, February 2026.
The obligately lichenicolous genus Abrothallus consists of approximately 50 species, almost all of which are associated with lichens having foliose, fruticose, or pendulous thalli. This paper focuses on species that grow on strap lichens (Ramalina) providing new insights into their phylogenetic relationships and distribution.
