Epilepsia, 1988Summary: Despite the current trend toward monotherapy, polytherapy in children with epilepsy is still common. A drug combination is advantageous only if it achieves a higher efficacy: toxicity ratio (therapeutic index) or if its antiepileptic spectrum is wider.
