Various Diamond Properties in Combinatorial Game Theory

open access: yes
We investigate conditions under which positions in combinatorial games admit simple values. We introduce a unified diamond framework, the $\Diamond_A$-property ($A\in\{\mathbb{Z},\mathbb{D}$), for sets of positions closed under options. Under certain conditions, this framework guarantees that all values are integers, dyadic rationals, or pairs $\{m|n\}$

A Versatile Engineering Platform for the Fabrication of Prosthetic Venous Valves Using Electrospinning

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Percutaneous prosthetic venous valves are fabricated by embedding stents in an electrospun matrix that extends luminally to form leaflets. The design shields leaflets from hyperplastic cells, isolates struts from blood contact, and avoids discrete anchoring points.

The projector algorithm: a simple parallel algorithm for computing Voronoi diagrams and Delaunay graphs

open access: yes, 2018
The Voronoi diagram is a certain geometric data structure which has numerous applications in various scientific and technological fields. The theory of algorithms for computing 2D Euclidean Voronoi diagrams of point sites is rich and useful, with several

Engineered ETS1‐Nanoconjugate Restores Immune Homeostasis through Dual Immune‐Vascular Modulation in Relapsing and Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The biomimetic nanoplatform IMNP (ETS1 pDNA/PBAE@ITP‐MM) undergoes targeted disassembly at inflammatory vascular sites to release the ETS1 plasmid (pETS1). This release initiates a cascade of effects that inhibit pathogenic pathways and support immune homeostasis. (Abbreviations: EndMT, endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition; EC, endothelial cell; TC, T

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Model‐Driven Optimization of Subcutaneous Polymer Prodrugs Achieves Cancer Remission in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) model was developed to evaluate multiple dosing regimens for subcutaneously administered water‐soluble polymer prodrug for cancer therapy. The model enabled prediction of in vivo performance and contributed to the optimization of anticancer efficacy.

Preference graphs: a combinatorial tool for game theory

open access: yes
The preference graph is a combinatorial representation of the structure of a normal-form game. Its nodes are the strategy profiles, with an arc between profiles if they differ in the strategy of a single player, where the orientation indicates the preferred choice for that player. We show that the preference graph is a surprisingly fundamental tool for
