Combinatorial Stationary Prophet Inequalities
Numerous recent papers have studied the tension between thickening and clearing a market in (uncertain, online) long-time horizon Markovian settings. In particular, (Aouad and Sarita{ç} EC'20, Collina et al. WINE'20, Kessel et al. EC'22) studied what the latter referred to as the Stationary Prophet Inequality Problem, due to its similarity to the ...

A codesign multiobjective optimization framework was developed to enhance the morphology and controller of a snake‐like robot driven by artificial muscles. It improved planar locomotion, agility, and power efficiency. The approach optimized link geometry and controller gains, revealing that shorter muscles near joints and longer linkages maximize ...

We study the dynamical properties of a large class of rational maps with exactly three ramification points. By constructing families of such maps, we obtain infinitely many conservative maps of degree $d$; this answers a question of Silverman.

Conditional Information Inequalities and Combinatorial Applications
We show that the inequality $H(A \mid B,X) + H(A \mid B,Y) \le H(A\mid B)$ for jointly distributed random variables $A,B,X,Y$, which does not hold in general case, holds under some natural condition on the support of the probability distribution of $A,B,X,Y$.

Climate change reshapes the spatial alignment between crop production and environmental resources. Using multi‐source data and a crop model, integrated climatic, water, and soil endowments for maize and wheat are quantified and compared with harvest distributions.

Attempting the Impossible: Enumerating Extremal Submodular Functions for n = 6
Enumerating the extremal submodular functions defined on subsets of a fixed base set has only been done for base sets up to five elements. This paper reports the results of attempting to generate all such functions on a six-element base set.

Low‐frequency noise fingerprints in hafnia ferroelectrics provide a quantitative handle to resolve the long‐standing debate between polarization‐mediated and defect‐mediated switching. By tuning oxygen vacancy density via ALD O3 dose time and applying a physically constrained deconvolution, we extract bias‐resolved current fractions for both mechanisms

Emissions of unintentionally produced persistent organic pollutants (UPOPs) and global warming are two major environmental challenges. But their governance has largely evolved in parallel, leaving the toxicity implications of climate‐driven industrial transitions poorly understood.

On the structure of subsets of the discrete cube with small edge boundary
On the structure of subsets of the discrete cube with small edge boundary, Discrete Analysis 2018:9, 29 pp. An isoperimetric inequality is a statement that tells us how small the boundary of a set can be given the size of the set, for suitable notions ...
