Laser Powder Bed Fusion of Alumina: Effects of Scanning Strategies on External and Internal Defects
This study investigates how scanning strategies affect pure alumina in laser powder bed fusion. Linear 45° scanning yields uniform surfaces but high porosity, while the island‐concentric strategy provides higher density with through‐holes favorable for infiltration. Findings highlight pathways toward optimizing defect‐free alumina parts.

Quantified Combinatorial Optimization
2014MIP and IP programming are state-of-the-art modeling techniques for computer-aided optimization. However, companies observe an increasing danger of disruptions that prevent them from acting as planned. One reason is input data being assumed as deterministic, but in reality, data is afflicted with uncertainties.

Semidefinite programming and combinatorial optimization
Mathematical Programming, 1997We discuss the use of semidefinite programming for combinatorial optimization problems. The main topics covered include (i) the Lovász theta function and its applications to stable sets, perfect graphs, and coding theory, (ii) the automatic generation of strong valid inequalities, (iii) the maximum cut problem and related problems, and (iv) the ...

Combinatorial Optimization in OPL Studio
1999OPL is a modeling language for mathematical programming and combinatorial optimization problems. It is the first modeling language to combine high-level algebraic and set notations from modeling languages with a rich constraint language and the ability to specify search procedures and strategies that are the essence of constraint programming.
