A multifunctional Bi2Te3@CdS hybrid system is presented for solar‐driven wastewater remediation and indoor disinfection. The catalyst coated on PU foam efficiently harvests visible‐NIR light to generate heat and reactive oxygen species, enabling the rapid mineralization of organic pollutants.

This study uncovers two overlooked bottlenecks in cryogenic laser cooling of solids: symmetry‐driven fluorescence trapping and water vapor condensation. We demonstrate that breaking sample symmetry enhances fluorescence escape, while condensation dominates parasitic heating below 135 K.

Evaporation‐Driven Solutal Marangoni Control of Rayleigh–Taylor Instability in Inverted Films
Inverted liquid films, like paint on a ceiling, are inherently unstable under gravity. This work shows that selective evaporation in volatile binary mixtures generates solutal Marangoni stresses that either suppress or amplify the Rayleigh Taylor instability.

AbstractCombined forced and natural convection in a bundle of vertical cylinders have been studied numerically with the aid of Riemann geometry. The cylinders heated uniformly are arranged in an equilateral triangular pattern of three bundle spacings S/D = 1.1, 1.5, and 1.9. Numerical calculations are made of the mixed convection of air (Pr = 0.7) in a

COMBINED FORCED AND NATURAL CONVECTION FROM A SINGLE TRIANGULAR CYLINDER
Unsteady laminar confined and unconfined fluid flow and mixed (forced and free) convection heat transfer around equilateral triangular cylinders are investigated numerically. The computation model is a two-dimensional domain with blockage ratios of BR=0.5, 0.25, 0.2, 0.1, 0.05, and 0.0333, with the Reynolds numbers ranging from 100 to 200. The working

Abstract For predicting the fully developed upward flow in a uniformly heated, vertical pipe by taking account of the buoyancy force, the k-e models of turbulence for low Reynolds number flows were adopted. The regime map for forced, mixed and natural convections as well as for laminar and turbulent flows was plotted from the numerical predictions ...

Combination of mesoscale and synoptic mechanisms for triggering an isolated thunderstorm: Observational case study of CSIP IOP 1 [PDF]
Copyright @ 2007 AMSAn isolated thunderstorm formed in the southern United Kingdom on 15 June 2005 and moved through the area where a large number of observational instruments were deployed as part of the Convective Storm Initiation Project.

Thermal cyclotrimerization of nitriles converts interfacial discontinuity in MAF‐stu‐1/PIM‐1 MMMs into a continuity‐enhanced junction. Triazine–Zn2+ coordination between TR‐PIM chains and MAF‐stu‐1, together with hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking, lowers interfacial tension and builds selective CO2 pathways, enabling > 10 000 barrer CO2 permeability ...
