Rapid Room‐Temperature Ethanol Sensing in Bi2MoO6/rGO Heterostructures: Weak Adsorption‐Driven Charge Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work establishes Bi2MoO6/rGO heterostructures as a mechanism‐guided platform for high‐performance room‐temperature ethanol gas detection by showing that modest adsorption, in conjunction with dynamic interfacial band modulation, enables rapid charge‐transfer.

Quartz forming conditions in secant veins in granodiorites of the Andean intrusive complex of the Barchans Islands (Argentine Islands, West Antarctic)

open access: yesДоповiдi Нацiональної академiї наук України
It is established that the growth of quartz in veins in granodiorites of the Andean intrusive complex (the Barchans Islands, West Antarctic) happened in rock crystal-bearing veins of steep falling, in which the temperature difference necessary for the ...

Application of the first combustion model to spray combustion

open access: yesApplied Thermal Engineering, 2004
Liquid fuel is of interest to apply to gas turbines. The large advantage is that liquids are easily storable as compared to gaseous fuels. Disadvantage is that liquid fuel has to be sprayed, vaporized and mixed with air. Combustion occurs at some stage of mixing and ignition.

Cigarette Smoke‐Induced Alveolar Macrophage Senescence via GEM/SIRT3‐Mediated Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cigarette smoke accelerates the aging of immune cells in the lung. By combining human single‐cell sequencing, cell culture, and mouse models, the authors show that the protein GEM drives mitochondrial damage and senescence in alveolar macrophages by suppressing SIRT3.
