Thermal–Hydraulic Performance of Nanofluids in Turbulent Separated Flow Induced by Double Forward Facing Step With Converging/Diverging Wall

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, EarlyView.
Compared to experimental data of thermophysical properties of NFs, semi‐empirical models cannot estimate FOM correctly. For all working fluids, applying a converging channel instead of the canonical case was inefficient. Diverging channel was always favored compared to the canonical case. For less effective NFs, both lowering the reference velocity and

Effectiveness of Unripe Plantain Peel on Tenderization of Beef and Okra as a Potential Substitute for Saltpeter

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This research seeks to examine the effect of unripe plantain peel ash and its filtrate on the tenderness of beef and okra as a potential substitute for saltpeter. Using atomic absorption spectrophotometry, important elemental particles were estimated while the texture profile of treated okra and beef was assessed using the TA‐XT Plus Micro ...

Potential Waste‐to‐Wealth Strategy for Combining Medical Surgical Gloves‐Derived Pyrolysis Oil with Pentanol and Nanoparticles: Experimental Analysis on Engine Behaviors

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, EarlyView.
This study evaluates surgical glove waste pyrolysis oil blended with pentanol and nano‐additives as an alternative fuel for diesel engines. The nano‐SiO₂ blend improved engine performance by 9.72% and significantly reduced emissions, offering a sustainable, waste‐to‐wealth solution for cleaner energy without engine modifications. Abstract In this work,

Removal of Phenol by Ozonation in Strongly Alkaline Conditions using a Jet Loop Reactor Operated in Continuous Phase

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, EarlyView.
This study presents the removal of phenol by ozonation in a continuously operated jet loop reactor (JLR) under strong alkaline conditions. The effects of ozone concentration, hydraulic retention time, and influent phenol levels on phenol, COD, and TOC removal are evaluated to assess the efficiency of JLR‐based ozonation.

MODELING OF FUEL SPRAY CHARACTERISTICS AND DIESEL COMBUSTION CHAMBER PARAMETERS

open access: yesНаука и техника, 2011
The computer model for coordination of fuel spray characteristics with diesel combustion chamber parameters has been created in the paper.  The model allows to observe fuel sprays  develоpment in diesel cylinder at any moment of injection, to calculate ...
