Tillage does not impact soil greenhouse gas emissions in a Central Texas rainfed maize–cotton system

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Agricultural soils are a significant source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, primarily as N2O. Monitoring how management practices impact soil gas fluxes (CO2, CH4, and N2O) is useful for making sure conservation practices (e.g., no‐till) are sustainable with regards to all potential environmental impacts.

Substitution of fiber hemp for corn did not affect soil greenhouse gas emissions from a Kentucky cropping system

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Industrial hemp's return to American agriculture has been accompanied by claims of the crop's carbon neutrality, primarily due to its commercial applications. While carbon can be sequestered within products made with hemp fiber, there is little empirical evidence quantifying greenhouse gas contributions from the crop's production.

Investigation of the Phase‐Separation Point During CO2 Absorption in the DETA–Sulfolane–Water System

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 406-417, September 2026.
Optical scattering diagnostics combined with generalized solubility product modeling enables quantitative prediction of phase separation in DETA–sulfolane–water biphasic CO2 absorbents. ABSTRACT The phase‐separation behavior of liquid–liquid biphasic amine absorbents is typically identified using bubbling reactors, where visual observation is employed ...
