Laser‐induced breakdown detection (LIBD) is a highly‐sensitive technique to quantify nanoparticles, including nanoplastics, in clean water. The limit of detection for particle concentration is as low as 104 − 106 particles mL−1 and is influenced by particle properties, notably the particle density.

Influence of Carbon Material Properties on Slag‐Foaming Dynamics in Electric Arc Furnaces: A Review
This article examines how the properties of the carbon materials affect the slag foaming, emphasizing the need for strategies to improve the effectiveness of biochar, such as pelletizing or blending with coke. Biocoke appears as promising but underexplored option for enhancing slag foaming.

Density, surface tension, and viscosity of liquid electrical steels are measured at different temperatures, varying in silicon content between 3 and 6 mass%. Based on this, the density of the steel and the surface tension can be described as a function of temperature and silicon content with new models.
