Combustion characteristics of biodried sewage sludge
Waste Management, 2018In this study, effects of biodrying on the characteristics of sewage sludge and the subsequent combustion behavior were investigated. 7-Day of biodrying removed 49.78% of water and 23.17% of VS initially contained in the sewage sludge and increased lower heating value (LHV) by 37.87%.

Combustion Characteristic Analysis
2019In-cylinder pressure is directly related to the combustion process in reciprocating engines. Thus, the cylinder pressure measurement and its analysis can provide a large amount of information that can be utilized for further development, optimization, and tuning of engines.

Pyrolysis and combustion characteristics of coals in oxyfuel combustion
Applied Energy, 2012Abstract Oxyfuel combustion technology is one of the near-zero emission clean coal technologies, which can realise the large-scale CO 2 capture, low NO x emission, and easier removing of SO 2 . This paper describes the characteristics of pyrolysis, gasification and combustion of coals and chars in oxyfuel combustion applying the non-isothermal ...

Combustion characteristics of monopropylpentaborane flames
Symposium (International) on Combustion, 1965An account is given of several complementary experiments on the combustion of fuel-lean monopropylpentaborane-air mixtures: viz., determination of burning velocities; measurement of heat-release rates in the well-stirred reactor; determination of composition and temperature profiles in the reaction zone of a flat flame at reduced pressure; analysis of ...

Fractal Characteristics of Combustion Noise
Volume 4B: Combustion, Fuels and Emissions, 2017Fractal analysis is undertaken to characterize flame surface fluctuations on an unconfined turbulent premixed flame and the resulting far-field acoustics fluctuations. Results indicate that combustion noise is monofractal and is characterized by an anti-correlated structure with a Hurst exponent less than 0.5.

Characteristics of dual-combustion ramjet
Thermophysics and Aeromechanics, 2014The authors discuss a possibility to use a diverging dual-combustion chamber as applied to high-supersonic boost ramjets operating at flight Mach numbers up to Mf = 8–10. Due to diverging, this chamber allows beginning the ramjet operation from flight Mach numbers Mf ini = 2–3.

Combustion Characteristics of Gel Fuels
Combustion Science and Technology, 2000An experimental investigation of the combustion phenomena of gel fuel droplets was conducted using a computerized video system. The ignition and combustion processes were viewed and recorded while the droplet and flame temperatures were measured simultaneously.

Combustion characteristics of metallized compositions
Combustion, Explosion, and Shock Waves, 1983The class of heterogeneous metallized mixtures is very broad with respect both to composition and to technical applications. The use of metallic fuel or metal compounds in compositions capable of self-sustaining combustion is mainly conditioned by the large energy release in the combustion wave during metal oxidation (burning).
