Effects of combustion efficiency on a Dual cycle

Energy Conversion and Management, 2009
Abstract This paper studies a Dual cycle model containing irreversibilities coming exclusively from expansion and compression processes. It is assumed that any fraction of the fuel’s chemical energy can not fully released inside the engine because of the incomplete combustion.

Combustion efficiency and its radiative component

Fire Safety Journal, 2004
Abstract A complex relationship has been found between the combustion efficiency (χ) and its radiative component (χrad) that depends on the type of atoms and nature of chemical bonds in the fuel structure. For the halogenated fuels and polyurethane foams, respectively, the χ values increase from about 0.23 to 0.53 and from about 0.60 to 0.70; and the
