Combustion phenomena and their modeling.
Current status and outlook concerning modeling in combustion systems are described. Because of complexity of the phenomena, combustion has hardly been understood in terms of the intrinsic fundamental processes. Thus modeling techniques are indispensable from academic interest as well as practical point of view.

A pilot study on constructing a Scottish sectoral CO2 emissions account [PDF]
To calculate polluting emissions, the Scottish economy was divided into 76 sectors and the pollution attributable to each sector was estimated. We used emission/output ratios for the UK, but then further adjusted estimated Scottish emissions, using the ...

Numerical models for the phenomenological study of flameless combustion
Flameless combustion is a technique which offers environmental advantages such as lower than 100 ppm NOx and CO emis- sions due to below 200 K temperature gradients. Flameless combustion also supplies higher than 70% energy efficiency.
