The Combustion Recovery Process - Principles and Practice

Journal of Canadian Petroleum Technology, 1965
Abstract It has long been recognized that increasing the temperature of oil-in-placein a reservoir is a means of increasing the recovery obtainable from low-gravity oil accumulations. However, the combustion recovery process was notfield-tested until 1952.

Visualization of Combustion Processes of Internal Combustion Engines

2017
Very fast visualization of fuel injection and spray impingement on the wall, the laser ignition process, and auto-ignition of the end-gas region due to flame propagation during the engine knock cycle was demonstrated using an ultra-high-speed camera for a detailed understanding of the combustion process inside an internal combustion (IC) engine.

Thermodynamics of Combustion Processes

1996
In Chapter 3, the example of a flat one-dimensional flame was used to show that several ingredients are needed for the solution of the conservation equations. One of these ingredients is the thermodynamic properties of each species, i. e., enthalpy H, entropy S, and heat capacities c p of each species as a function of temperature and pressure.

Chemistry of Combustion Processes

2000
The quantitative description and understanding of combustion processes needs extreme computational efforts and has at present to be restricted to relatively simple cases, due to a very complex interaction of chemical reaction, transport, and convection described by instationary or stationary partial differential equation systems. However, even a rather
