Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.

Regulation of Stochastic Fisheries: A Comparison of Alternative Methods in the Pacific Halibut Fishery [PDF]
This article considers the relative merits of ad valorem taxation, season controls, and entry limitation as methods the government may use to deal with the externality problem in the Pacific halibut fishery.

Can we control marine invasive alien species by eating them? The case of Callinectes sapidus
The management of invasive species is a current challenge for the conservation of biodiversity. One approach is their utilization as a food source. In this study, 2040 French people were interviewed to assess crustacean consumers’ receptivity to this new

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

A New Zealand ITQ Fishery with an In-Season Stock Externality [PDF]
This paper explores the economic performance of a fishery that operates under an individual transferable quota (ITQs) management system and that is subject to an in-season stock externality.

Aluminum and nitride coatings are used in industry because they are hard, resist wear, and protect against oxidation. Adding boron can improve friction behavior and other properties. This study tests coatings on surfaces with different finishes. Results show smoother surfaces perform better, while rough ones wear faster, although coatings can reduce ...

Efficiency aspects of fishery management: The case of the North Sea [PDF]
In the case of fisheries, the lack of an efficient property rights structure (uniform, exclusive, and transferable property rights) is widely recognized as the prime impediment to higher profitability of the fishing industry and to the prevention of over-

Analysis of the contribution of the Netherlands commercial CPUE data to ICES stock assessments in the years 1995 - 2000 [PDF]
The contribution of the Dutch commercial CPUE data to the stock assessments of North Sea plaice and sole in the years 1995-2000 has been analysed. The CPUE series are based on the total landings at age in the Dutch beam trawl fishery and the total effort
