From Geometry to Function: Programmable Mechanical Response in 3D‐Printed Adipose‐Inspired Soft Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven design of soft cellular metamaterials is systematically investigated by combining experiments, finite element modeling, and statistical prediction. The study quantifies how unit cell geometry and material properties govern stiffness, instability, densification, and energy absorption.

Business groups - European development and trends of their legal regulation

open access: yesČasopis pro Právní Vědu a Praxi, 2006
Business groups are bodies that can be found in all economically developed countries, not only in Europe. They bring their participants significant economic advantages, enable the assertion of economic goals unified with all the members of the group ...

Giant Electrostriction in Halide Perovskites Revisited With Double‐Modulation Interferometry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant electrostrictive effect in lead halide perovskites had been reported previously. This work uses sensitive interferometry to measure the electromechanical response of various halide perovskite samples. The results reveal no intrinsic electrostrictive compression. Instead, the materials expand primarily under an applied electric field as a result

Unfair Competition Law in the EU and in the Czech Republic (Paradoxes of the current state and the new trends)

open access: yesČasopis pro Právní Vědu a Praxi, 2006
In science, it is considers good manners to start by delimiting concepts that are to be used in one's analysis. However, good habits may turn into bad ones whenever the delimítation of key concepts becomes so thorough and detailed that little time and ...

Halide Perovskite Integrated Photovoltaic Cathodes Incorporating Pt on ZIF‐8‐Derived Carbon for Solar Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐Pt catalyst supported on zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF‐8)‐derived porous carbon and graphite is integrated with a halide perovskite photovoltaic, yielding cathodes that achieve a high photocurrent density (∼20 mA cm−2) under simulated sunlight and exhibit remarkable stability in acidic media over several days, thereby demonstrating a ...

Effect of European Directives on Legal Regulation of the Limited Liability Company in the Czech Law

open access: yesČasopis pro Právní Vědu a Praxi, 2008
A limited liability company has the basic features of capital companies. But compared to the joint stock company, which is a typically capital company, it shows certain features evoking a personal company (for example a change of the memorandum of ...

Interface‐Defect Synergy Engineering of Amorphous Ga2O3 for Voltage‐Tunable Dual‐Mode Optoelectronic Devices: Self‐Powered Imaging and Neuromorphic Vision

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An interface‐defect co‐engineered strategy enables bias‐programmable integration of self‐powered photodetection and low‐power synaptic functionalities within a single‐material amorphous Ga2O3 device. This design achieves reversible switching via voltage modulation, supporting high‐contrast imaging and visual memory, and demonstrates a neuromorphic ...

ISLAMIC COMMERCIAL LAW

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Islam and Society, 1996
This essay is presented in two sections. Section one is devoted to a market analysis of options, and section two to a Shari'ah perspective on options trading. There is no real shortage of information in the operational procedures of options and the various ways in which options are utilized as trading vehicles and hedging and risk-reduction devices. On
