Wood Cellulosic Membrane With Abundant Nanochannels for Stabilizing Aqueous Zn‐Ion Batteries
A wood‐derived cellulosic membrane separator is developed to suppress dendrite growth in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. Its aligned nanochannels and hydroxyl‐rich surfaces enable uniform Zn2+ flux, water immobilization, and interfacial stabilization. Zn||Zn cells achieve 1920 h of cycling, Zn||Cu cells maintain 99.5% Coulombic efficiency over 1000 cycles,

ASSESSING TEXTURE TO FIVE BEEF MEAT CUTS PRESERVED BY STERILIZATION IN TINPLATE PACKAGING
In order to define consumer acceptance by texture analysis, the variables that affect quality of beef cuts for canning are analyzed by instrumental and sensory methods. Five beef cuts, commonly used by consumers, are selected, characterized and evaluated,

Atomic Layer Deposition Processes: Versatile Platforms for Engineering ZnO‐Chitosan Biointerfaces
Vapour phase metalation (VPM), multiplied pulsed vapour phase infiltration (MPI), and O2 plasma‑enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) tailor Zn–chitosan (Zn‑CS) films. PEALD improves wettability and biocompatibility. MPI enhances semiconductor behavior. Antiseptic selectivity: VPM → E. coli; MPI → H. pylori.

Surface‐host dialogue at the implant interface governs biological fate and osseointegration. Surface physicochemical properties of titanium (Ti) dental implants, including microgrooves, nanopatterns, nanotopography, roughness, and wettability, modulate the initial adsorption of proteins and the formation of a dynamic biointerface.

Effect of Lactic Acid Bacteria Fermentation on the Texture and Flavor Characteristics of Hand-Torn Beef Jerky [PDF]
This study aimed to explore the effect of a commercial starter culture, Hansen DENPSR® Danish lactic acid bacteria, on the texture and flavor characteristics of hand-torn beef jerky. Fermented and non-fermented beef jerky were made from beef round.
