In an input-offline switched-mode power supply (SMPS) system, especially in comparison with the cost of noise reduction, significant EMI improvements can be made by incorporating the additional windings, dV/dt balancing winding (B-Winding) and core cancellation winding (C-Winding) into a transformer. However, it is unclear how these additional windings

In this paper, reduction effect of a common-mode filter is discussed. When the performance of a common-mode filter is evaluated, it is necessary to consider not only S CC21 but also S CD21 . Using these two parameters, the common-mode current flowing on the secondary side of the common-mode filter was formulated.

A new common-mode bandstop filter (CM-BSF) with an all-pass performance (from dc to 9 GHz) for differential signals is proposed by using a C-shaped patterned ground structure (PGS) with meandered signal lines on a two-layer printed circuit board (PCB).

This paper presents a CM noise suppression technique from self-calibration of a 20-Gb/s source-series terminated (SST) driver using an on-chip process monitoring circuit designed and simulated in a 65-nm CMOS process. An unbalanced charging and discharging loop results in an asymmetric rise and fall time of the output signal and is an intrinsic source ...

Predicting and solving EMI emissions related to common mode (CM) ones in pulse with modulation (PWM) inverter induction motor drive systems requires various frequency-dependent effects to be considered. Thus, the application of active circuitry to increase the performance per size and prevent dependency on some parameters of the motor for ...

As mentioned in the introduction of this book, humans demonstrate versatile and stable interactions with uncertain environments. Such stability is guaranteed by generating efficient and task-related restoring forces in response to environmental displacements [51], and is accomplished by co-activation of the muscles acting on the joints.
