Hybrid EBG Structure for Common-Mode Noise and SSN Suppression in Multilayer PCBs

open access: yesIEEE Access
The advancement of modern technologies and the growing demand for high-speed communication systems that integrate digital and analog circuits into multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs) require the development of efficient solutions to ensure signal ...

A microrod-resonator Brillouin laser with 240 Hz absolute linewidth

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
We demonstrate an ultralow-noise microrod-resonator based laser that oscillates on the gain supplied by the stimulated Brillouin scattering optical nonlinearity.

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

Structural studies and functional engineering of NanX: an anhydro‐sialic acid transporter from Escherichia coli

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Fully Symmetrical Hybrid PV Converter With Low Common-Mode Noise

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics
Hybrid converters with multiports (simultaneous dc and ac outputs) are promising solutions to reduce conversion stages from solar energy to various loads, and thereby increasing the utilization of residential PV systems. Considering common-mode noises suppression and high reliability, this article proposes a fully symmetrical hybrid PV converter ...

Differential and Common Mode Noise Waves and Correlation Matrices [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications, 2014
Abstract This paper presents an innovative extention of the noise wave definition to mixed mode, differential - and commonmode noise waves which can be used for noise analysis of differential microwave networks. Mixed mode noise waves are used next to define generalized mixed mode noise wave correlation matrices of microwave multiport networks ...

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

Common-Mode EMI Reduction in Switching Flyback Power Supply by Implementing Cancellation Method of Heat-Sink Capacitor [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Procedures in Electrical Technology, 2015
Electromagnetic compatibility in switching power converters which are noise sources themselves, has a special importance. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) in the form of conducted or radiated reaches to sensitive sections and interferes with their ...

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.
