Substantially Altered Local and Systemic Immunity in Ischemia‐Free Versus Conventional Liver Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates how ischemia‐free liver transplantation (IFLT) shapes both local and systemic immune responses compared with conventional liver transplantation (CLT). Our findings demonstrate that IFLT confers significant immunological protection by attenuating the STAT3‐HIF‐1α axis and enhancing the Heme‐HMOX1 pathway, two regulatory networks ...

Pre‐Encoded IFN‐I Sensitivity Exacerbates Memory T Cell Senescence in Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Type I interferon (IFN‐I) signaling promotes p21‐dependent cell cycle arrest in senescent tumor‐specific memory T cells, resulting in poor proliferative responses and solid tumor regression during cancer vaccination. Conversely, IFNα/β receptor blockade reinvigorates T cell proliferation to regress solid tumors and is more effective with increasing ...

Common mode rejection in electrically coupled MEMS resonators utilizing mode localization for sensor applications

open access: yes
Measuring shifts in eigenstates due to vibration localization in an array of weakly coupled resonators offer two distinct advantages for sensor applications as opposed to the technique of simply measuring resonant frequency shifts: (1) orders of ...

Design of a fractional control using performance contours. Application to an electromechanical system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The article proposes a frequency-based method to design a controller ensuring dynamic behavior of a closed-loop control: the first overshoot of the step response in the tracking mode or in the regulation mode, the damping ratio and the natural frequency ...

Interactions of Antibody Drug Conjugate Anti‐Tubulin and Topoisomerase I Inhibitor Payloads with Radiotherapy to Potentiate Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.
