A typical instrumentation problem is the detection of a differential signal in the presence of a common-mode signal. In the case of measuring myo-electric signals, the common-mode signals present can be 10²-10⁴ larger than the differential signal. In such instances, the attenuation of these unwanted common-mode signals require complex circuit designs ...

Design Compact Absorptive Common-Mode Noise Suppression Filter with Series Unified Circuit
In the PCB process, overcoming common-mode noise radiation is critical. In past years, most studies have focused on a common-mode noise filter (CMNF) that can solve electromagnetic interference in high-speed digital systems by blocking and absorbing ...

Active common‐mode filter for capacitive‐coupled isolated signalling
Capacitive coupling is a well‐established principle in isolated signalling. A major challenge esp. in power electronics is common‐mode transient immunity caused by the displacement currents at the coupling capacitors. Digital isolator integrated circuits (ICs) employ modulated signalling, the authors propose an active filter ...

Bandwidth and Common Mode Optimization for Current and Voltage Sources in Bioimpedance Spectroscopy
Bioimpedance measurements use current or voltage sources to inject an excitation signal into the body. These sources require a high bandwidth, typically from 1 kHz to 1 MHz.

Common-mode backchannel signaling system for differential high-speed links [PDF]
Common-mode signaling is effectively used to create a backchannel communication path over the existing pair of wires for a self-contained adaptive differential high-speed link transceiver cell. A transceiver chip was designed in 0.13 /spl mu/m CMOS to demonstrate the feasibility of simultaneous differential and common-mode signaling.

A simple scheme to implement class AB low-voltage fully differential amplifiers that do not require an output common-mode feedback network (CMFN) is introduced. It has a rail to rail output signal swing and high rejection of common-mode input signals. It

Smooth Bend Structures Using Hybrid Compensation for Common-Mode Noise Reduction
The proposed smooth bend structure was implemented with a 150-degree bend to reduce the asymmetrical part of the differential bend and thus prevent mode conversion loss and common-mode noise.

Fully Differential Miller Op-Amp with Enhanced Large- and Small-Signal Figures of Merit
A highly power-efficient, fully differential Miller op-amp with accurately controlled output quiescent current is introduced. The op-amp can drive both capacitive and resistive load due to the presence of the auxiliary amplifier.
