β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2025.
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Pyramidal Structures on Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia after High Temperature Exposure at 1500°C: New Features on an Old Material

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

A Balanced Phase Shifter With Common-Mode Suppression

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2019
In this paper, a balanced phase shifter using coupled line with loaded transmission line is proposed, which is the first balanced passive phase shifter providing both differential-mode (DM) phase shift and common-mode (CM) suppression simultaneously.

Omnidirectional WLAN Antenna With Common-Mode Current Suppression

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021
An omnidirectional wireless local area network (WLAN) loop-slot antenna with common-mode current (CMC) suppression is proposed in this communication. First, based on the analysis of the equivalent model of odd–even mode, the feeding coaxial line is led out at the voltage-zero point of the loop-slot element, which suppresses the CMC over the full band ...

Balanced-to-Balanced Series Feeding Network with Common-Mode Suppression

2018 9th International Symposium on Telecommunications (IST), 2018
In this paper, a balanced-to-balanced series feeding (BBSF) network with common-mode suppression is proposed. Design requirements of the BBSF network is extracted at 2GHz, and constraining rules of the mixed-mode S-parameters are expressed by using matrix transformation.

Multi-Band Balanced Couplers With Broadband Common-Mode Suppression

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2018
Three novel single-/multi-band balanced couplers with wide-band common-mode suppression are proposed. In these double-functionality balanced-coupler architectures, double-sided parallel-strip line 180° phase inverters are used to realize the broadband common-mode rejection.
