Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

An Active Common-Mode Voltage Canceler for PWM Converters in Wind-Turbine Doubly-Fed Induction Generators

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Wind energy integration in power grids is increasing day by day to reduce the use of fossil fuels, and consequently greenhouse gas emissions. Using the pulse-width modulated (PWM) power converters in wind turbine generators, specifically in doubly-fed ...

Three phase inverter development using common mode voltage pulse width modulation (PWM) method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This master report presents a simulation voltage source control system for three phase inverter focusing on reducing the common mode voltage using diode clamped circuit. The model was implemented using MATLAB-Simulink with the SimPowerSystems Block

Closed-Form Critical Conditions of Subharmonic Oscillations for Buck Converters

open access: yes, 2012
A general critical condition of subharmonic oscillation in terms of the loop gain is derived. Many closed-form critical conditions for various control schemes in terms of converter parameters are also derived.

A unified analysis of PWM converters in discontinuous modes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Three discontinuous operating modes of PWM (pulsewidth modulated) converters are considered: the discontinuous inductor current mode (DICM), the discontinuous capacitor voltage mode (DCVM), and a previously unidentified mode called the discontinuous ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Research of the Common-mode Voltage Inhibition for Three-level NPC Inverter

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2015
Adopting NPC(Neutral Point Clamped) three-level inverters as a research object, it analyzed three control strategies for common-mode voltage inhibition, such as traditional three -level SVPWM, SVPWM for reducing common-mode voltage and SVPWM for ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
