Best proximity point theorems for cyclic p-contractions with some consequences and applications
In this paper, we introduce the concept of cyclic p-contraction pair for single-valued mappings. Then we present some best proximity point results for such mappings defined on proximally complete pair of subsets of a metric space.

Best proximity point for proximal Berinde nonexpansive mappings on starshaped sets [PDF]
summary:In this paper, we introduce the new concept of proximal mapping, namely proximal weak contractions and proximal Berinde nonexpansive mappings. We prove the existence of best proximity points for proximal weak contractions in metric spaces, and ...

In this work, we propose the three-step Thakur iterative process associated with two mappings in the setting of Banach space. Using this Thakur iteration, we approximate a common fixed point for a pair of noncyclic, relatively nonexpansive mappings.

Best proximity and best periodic points for proximal nonunique contractions
Taking into account nonunique fixed point and periodic point results of Ciric (Institut Mathematique 17, 52-58, 1974) and best proximity point results in the literature, we introduce the concept of proximal nonunique contraction for nonself mappings ...

Optimization Problems via Best Proximity Point Analysis [PDF]
Many problems arising in different areas of mathematics, such as optimization, variational analysis, and differential equations, can be modeled as equations of the form Tx=x, where T is a given mapping in the framework of a metric space.

A Common Best Proximity Point Theorem for Ï•-dominated Pair
In the present research, an interesting common best proximity point theorem for pairs of non-self-mappings is presented. It satises a weakly contraction-like condition, thereby producing common optimal approximate solutions of certain simultaneous xed point equations.

COMMON BEST PROXIMITY POINTS THEOREMS FOR H-CONTRACTIVE NON-SELF MAPPINGS
Fixed point theory and contractive mappings are popular tools in solving a variety of problems such as control theory, economic theory, nonlinear analysis and global analysis. There are many works on different types of contractions to find a fixed point in metric spaces.

Common Best Proximity Point Results for T-GKT Cyclic f-Contraction Mappings in Partial Metric Spaces with Some Applications [PDF]
[EN] The aim of this paper is to derive some common best proximity point results in partial metric spaces defining a new class of symmetric mappings, which is a generalization of cyclic phi-contraction mappings. With the help of these symmetric mappings,

Common best proximity point theorems under proximal F-weak dominance in complete metric spaces
Suppose that $S_1$ and $S_2$ are nonempty subsets of a complete metric space $(\mathcal{M},d)$ and $ϕ,ψ:S_1\to S_2$ are mappings. The aim of this work is to investigate some conditions on $ϕ$ and $ψ$ such that the two functions, one that assigns to each $x\in S_1$ exactly $d(x,ϕx)$ and the other that assigns to each $x\in S_1$ exactly $d(x,ψx)$, attain

Common fixed points and best proximity points of two cyclic self-mappings [PDF]
AbstractThis paper discusses three contractive conditions for two 2-cyclic self-mappings defined on the union of two nonempty subsets of a metric space to itself. Such self-mappings are not assumed to commute. The properties of convergence of distances to the distance between such sets are investigated.
