Common fixed points of noncommuting almost contractions in cone metric spaces [PDF]
In this paper we prove the existence of coincidence points and common fixed points for a large class of almost contractions in cone metric spaces.

Fixed points and common fixed points theorems in pseudo-ordered sets
Under suitable conditions, we establish the existence of the greatest and the least fixed points of monotone maps defined on nonempty pseudo-ordered sets. Also, we prove that the set of all common fixed points of two categories of finite commutative family F of monotone maps f defined on a nonempty complete trellis is also a nonempty complete trellis.

FIXED POINT AND COMMON FIXED POINT THEOREM FOR MULTIVALUED MAPPINGS FOR BANACH SPACE
In this Paper we will investigate some fixed point and common fixed point theorem for multivalued mappings of Banach space. We show that an extended form of many Known results taking multivalued mappings and inequities. The general form of a result proved by Banach Space and Convergence for multivalued mappings in fixed point and common fixed point ...

A note on common fixed point theorems
In this note a more extensive common fixed point theorem, Theorem 2.1, will be obtained so that the above two results are special versions of our theorem. Let S and T be self-mappings of a complete metric space (X, d). Let n be a positive integer and m be a function defined on X with values m(x) in z+, where Z+ is the set of positive integers. For each

Common Fixed Points, Invariant Approximation and Generalized Weak Contractions
Sufficient conditions for the existence of a common fixed point of generalized -weakly contractive noncommuting mappings are derived. As applications, some results on the set of best approximation for this class of mappings are obtained.

In Praise of Unstable Fixed Points: The Way Things Actually Work
In recent years a fashion has grown up to ascribe great importance to ``quantum critical points'' at T=0, at the boundary between the basins of attraction to the stable fixed points of ordered ground states.

On a fixed point theorem of Fisher and Sessa
A fixed point theorem of Fisher and Sessa is generalized by replacing the requirements of commutativity and nonexpansiveness by compatibility and continuity respectively.

Renormalization Group and Universality
It is argued that universality is severely limited for models with multiple fixed points. As a demonstration the renormalization group equations are presented for the potential and the wave function renormalization constants in the $O(N)$ scalar field ...

Common fixed point and common coupled fixed point theorems for weakly monotone mappings
In this paper we have established two common fixed point theorems which are variants of the fixed point theorem of Boyd and Wong [On nonlinear contractions, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 20(1969), 458-464]. By applying the newly established fixed point theorems two common coupled fixed point theorems have been proved for a pair of weakly increasing mappings ...

New coincidence and common fixed point theorems
[EN] In this paper, we obtain some extensions and a generalization of a remarkable fixed point theorem of Proinov. Indeed, we obtain some coincidence and fixed point theorems for asymptotically regular non-self and self-maps without requiring continuity and relaxing the completeness of the space. Some useful examples and discussions are also given.
