Common neighbours and the local-community-paradigm for topological link prediction in bipartite networks

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
Bipartite networks are powerful descriptions of complex systems characterized by two different classes of nodes and connections allowed only across but not within the two classes.

Personalized Degrees: Effects on Link Formation in Dynamic Networks from an Egocentric Perspective

open access: yes, 2019
Understanding mechanisms driving link formation in dynamic social networks is a long-standing problem that has implications to understanding social structure as well as link prediction and recommendation.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Regulation and Banking Stability: A Survey of Empirical Studies [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper brings together and adds structure to the empirical literature on the link between banking regulation and banking system stability. In addition to clarifying the theoretical underpinnings for studying banking regulation, it points to several ...

Modelling the Duration of Multihop Paths in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Mobile ad hoc networks are characterized by having nodes that are cooperative and communicate without any kind of infrastructure. The mobility and multihop capability of these networks leads the network topology to change rapidly and unpredictably;

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Link prediction method based on the similarity of high path

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2021
For the problem that the existing link prediction method has many problems, including low accuracy and low efficiency, a method of high-order path similarity link prediction was proposed.Firstly, the path was used as the judging feature to predict ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
