A Motor CM Impedance Based Transformerless Active EMI Filter for DC-Side Common-Mode EMI Suppression in Motor Drive System

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2020
Due to the continuous switching action of the inverter in the motor drive system, an electromagnetic interference (EMI) is generated in the system. Active EMI filter has a smaller volume and higher power density compared with the widely used passive EMI filter.

Cancellation of common-mode excitation by SCD21 and SCC21 of CMF due to phase relationship between DM and CM voltages

2020 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility - EMC EUROPE, 2020
In this paper, reduction effect of a common-mode filter is discussed. When the performance of a common-mode filter is evaluated, it is necessary to consider not only S CC21 but also S CD21 . Using these two parameters, the common-mode current flowing on the secondary side of the common-mode filter was formulated.

Synthesis Model and Design of a Common-Mode Bandstop Filter (CM-BSF) With an All-Pass Characteristic for High-Speed Differential Signals

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2014
A new common-mode bandstop filter (CM-BSF) with an all-pass performance (from dc to 9 GHz) for differential signals is proposed by using a C-shaped patterned ground structure (PGS) with meandered signal lines on a two-layer printed circuit board (PCB).

EMI common-mode (CM) noise suppression from self-calibration of high-speed SST driver using on-chip process monitoring circuit

2017 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2017
This paper presents a CM noise suppression technique from self-calibration of a 20-Gb/s source-series terminated (SST) driver using an on-chip process monitoring circuit designed and simulated in a 65-nm CMOS process. An unbalanced charging and discharging loop results in an asymmetric rise and fall time of the output signal and is an intrinsic source ...

A new approach for determining the common mode (CM) impedance parameters of EMI emissions with the fast backpropagation algorithm of neural networks for low frequency band

2000 26th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society. IECON 2000. 2000 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Electronics, Control and Instrumentation. 21st Century Technologies and Industrial Opportunities (Cat. No.00CH37141), 2002
Predicting and solving EMI emissions related to common mode (CM) ones in pulse with modulation (PWM) inverter induction motor drive systems requires various frequency-dependent effects to be considered. Thus, the application of active circuitry to increase the performance per size and prevent dependency on some parameters of the motor for ...

Exploring the Roles of Common Mode Stiffness (CMS) and Configuration Dependent Stiffness (CDS) Control

2015
As mentioned in the introduction of this book, humans demonstrate versatile and stable interactions with uncertain environments. Such stability is guaranteed by generating efficient and task-related restoring forces in response to environmental displacements [51], and is accomplished by co-activation of the muscles acting on the joints.
