IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1997Redefining the common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR), a set of equations is derived for the common-mode gain and the CMRR of differential amplifiers. The results, which are consistent with practice and simulation, show that an amplifier's CMR may exceed the CMR of the active device(s) by intentional unbalancing of the circuit.

Common-mode rejection of the differential operational amplifier with shunt common-mode feedback
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1975A simple expression is derived for the common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of the differential operational amplifier with shunt common-mode (CM) feedback. The CMRR is exclusively expressed in terms of a fractional unbalance of the bridge circuit composed of an input resistor pair and a shunt CM feedback resistor pair.
