Differential CRLH Coupled-line Unit Cell with High Common Mode Rejection Ratio

2020 50th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), 2021
This paper presents a novel unit cell that has a dual behaviour: balanced composite right/left-handed (CRLH) for the differential mode and bandstop behaviour for the common mode. The unit cell consists of two microstrip coupled lines and a cross-shaped slot in the ground.

Common-mode rejection ratio in current-mode instrumentation amplifiers

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 1995
The current-mode instrumentation amplifier (CMIA) based on op-amp power-supply current sensing offers distinct advantages over conventional architecture designs. The CMIA is studied in detail and the CMRR expression is derived in terms of op-amp and transistor parameters.

On the measurement of common-mode rejection ratio

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2005
In this brief, several commonly used measurement configurations for common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) are analyzed and compared with the definition; their advantages and limitations are also discussed. Finally, an improved measurement setup is proposed to characterize CMRR more accurately according to its definition over wider frequency range.

Common mode rejection ratio in differential amplifiers

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1991
The common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of a differential amplifier (DA) using a single operational amplifier and an instrumentation amplifier (IA) using three operational amplifiers is analyzed, and the complete equations are derived for the case when op amps have finite differential and common mode gains.

Common-mode rejection ratio and the ‘Early-intercept’ voltage

International Journal of Electronics, 1977
The improvement in low frequency common-mode rejection that results from the replacement of the tail resistor of a simple BJT differential amplifier by a current source is shown to be related to a recently discussed parameter—the ‘ Early-intercept ’ voltage.
