Common mode rejection ratio for cascaded differential amplifier stages
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1991A simple equation for calculating the total common mode rejection ratio, CMRR/sub T/, for cascaded differential amplifier stages is given, and it is applied to several typical cases in instrumentation circuits. Two factors for each stage, C and D, are defined, and it is shown that, in general, CMRR/sub T/ can be calculated by adding the reciprocals of ...

Common-Mode Rejection Ratio-Two Definitions
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1970Two different definitions of the common-mode rejection ratio for differential amplifiers are not clearly distinguished. These ratios may differ by orders of magnitude. When differential amplifiers are used to minimize common mode interference in bioelectric measurements, these two ratios should be carefully defined and their magnitudes determined ...

Common-mode rejection ratio redefined
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1997Redefining the common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR), a set of equations is derived for the common-mode gain and the CMRR of differential amplifiers. The results, which are consistent with practice and simulation, show that an amplifier's CMR may exceed the CMR of the active device(s) by intentional unbalancing of the circuit.

Increasing common-mode rejection ratio based on the voltage follower
2016 International Siberian Conference on Control and Communications (SIBCON), 2016The paper presents certain procedures oriented towards the decrease of the uncertainty of measuring the small differential signal against a large common-mode signal. The technical implementation of the tracking symmetrical power supply is suggested for the instrumentation amplifier based on the voltage follower that allows increasing the common mode ...

An ECG/EEG Common Mode Rejection Ratio Analyzer
Journal of Clinical Engineering, 1982An ECG/EEG common-mode rejection ratio analyzer is discussed and its method of operation is analyzed. In addition to easily performed common-mode rejection ratio tests, this instrument also can perform linearity, frequency response and sweep-speed tests.

Analysis of random common-mode rejection ratio in op-amps
[1992] Proceedings of the 35th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003One of the important nonideal factors causing op-amp errors is the common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR). The CMRR of CMOS op-amps and its statistical characteristics are thoroughly analyzed. The random and deterministic CMRR of a two-stage CMOS op-amp are derived. The statistical characteristics of the total CMRR are discussed.

An Improved Gain Perturbation Method for Common-Mode Rejection Ratio Analysis
2017 International Conference on Computer Systems, Electronics and Control (ICCSEC), 2017Common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) analysis in analytical form requires a careful treatment on the differential component in an operational amplifier (opamp) circuit. If not carefully modeled, inaccurate numerical result will be generated. In this work we improve an existing gain perturbation method by introducing a systematic procedure and show the ...

Nonideal factors which play a key role in performance and yield in high-precision applications of operational amplifiers are rigorously investigated. The combined effects of both deterministic and statistical parameters must be incorporated. The statistical characteristics of the common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and the offset of two-stage CMOS op ...
