Within and Between Group Variation of Individual Strategies in Common Pool Resources: Evidence from Field Experiments [PDF]
With data from framed common pool resource experiments conducted with artisanal fishing communities in Colombia, we estimate a hierarchical linear model to investigate within-group and between-group variation in individual harvest strategies across ...

Decoding Human Placental Cellular and Molecular Responses to Obesity and Fetal Growth
Women with obesity often deliver large‐for‐gestational‐age (LGA) infants. Single‐nucleus RNA sequencing of term placenta reveals that hypoxia and TNF‐α signaling in syncytiotrophoblasts are featured in maternal obesity, but inflammatory signatures in Hofbauer cells and response to lipid or carbohydrate metabolism in fibroblasts are specific to LGA.

This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.

A Compromise Stable Extension of Bankruptcy Games: Multipurpose Resource Allocation [PDF]
This paper considers situations characterized by a common-pool resource, which needs to be divided among agents. Each of the agents has some claim on this pool and an individual reward function for assigned resources.

Bacterial α‐diversity decreases, but stochasticity and community stability increase across the 15 m‐depth vertical profiles and along the degraded gradient within the active layer. The abundance and interaction of core taxa mainly control community stability in the active and permafrost layers, respectively.

Selective Targeting of Tip Endothelial Cells as a Therapeutic Strategy for Tumor Angiogenesis
Doppel protein is selectively expressed in tip endothelial cells within the tumor vasculature, where it promotes tip cell motility and stabilizes the tip cell phenotype. Targeting Doppel with monoclonal antibodies disrupts this stabilization, impairs angiogenic sprouting, and reduces tumor angiogenesis, offering a selective and druggable switch for ...

Social Norms and Behavior in the Local Commons Through the Lens of Field Experiments [PDF]
Behavior in the local commons is usually embedded in a context of regulations and social norms that the group of users face. Such norms and rules affect how individuals value material and non-material incentives and therefore determine their decision to ...
