LIFE DRAVA-Challenges for Little tern and Common tern on Drava and other rivers

The Little and Common terns need both flat bare surfaces to breed and shallow water for foraging. In riverine habitats, they are threatened by the increase in water level and lack of sediment, as well as by succession of vegetation, disturbance, and predation or competition.
