Hardware-Based Evaluation of Scalable and Resilient Multicast With BIER in P4

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Traditional IP multicast (IPMC) maintains state per IPMC group in core devices to distribute one-to-many traffic along tree-like structures through the network.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Weighted Inter-frame Averaging-Based Channel Estimation for CO-OFDM System

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2013
We propose an efficient channel estimation method for coherent optical orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (CO-OFDM) based on weighted inter-frame averaging (WIFA), in which the channel estimation results of the adjacent frames are averaged to ...

Wireless Geophone Networks for Land Seismic Data Acquisition: A Survey, Tutorial and Performance Evaluation

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Seismic data acquisition in oil and gas exploration employs a large-scale network of geophone sensors deployed in thousands across a survey field. A central control unit acquires and processes measured data from geophones to come up with an image of the ...

Targeting p38α in cancer: challenges, opportunities, and emerging strategies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
p38α normally regulates cellular stress responses and homeostasis and suppresses malignant transformation. In cancer, however, p38α is co‐opted to drive context‐dependent proliferation and dissemination. p38α also supports key functions in cells of the tumor microenvironment, including fibroblasts, myeloid cells, and T lymphocytes.
