Copper‐Driven Epithelial Barrier Disruption: A Novel Mechanism of COPD Acute Exacerbations Mediated by the TNF‐α/ATP7A Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a copper‐driven mechanism of COPD acute exacerbations mediated by the TNF‐α/ATP7A axis. TNF‐α suppresses the copper transporter ATP7A via competitive NF‐κB/CREB1/CBP signaling, resulting in intracellular copper accumulation, mitochondrial oxidative stress, and epithelial barrier disruption.

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Overload control strategies for distributed communication networks

open access: yes, 1999
In distributed communication networks several nodes interact to carry out services. New telecommunication networks support a variety of services, much different from traditional telephony. Each service has its own so called load profile, which means that

Strategy of Triple‐Gradient in Binary Pixels for Flexible Pressure Sensing with High Sensitivity and Wide‐Range Linearity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible pressure sensor with triple‐gradient design of conductivity, modulus, and dimension in binary micro‐dome pixels is proposed. Based on precisely‐designed CNT/PDMS matrix, the device exhibits a linear sensitivity of 974.1 kPa−1 across range up to 1.8 MPa (R2 > 0.99), offering an effective strategy for potential applications in healthcare ...

Communication and Information Overload: Construct Definition, Validation and Scale Development

open access: yes, 2022
The goal of this study is to derive a clear definition for both communication and information overload. Even though the constructs have been defined as being distinct facets of the construct technology overload (Karr-Wisniewski & Lu, 2010), studies ...

Ion‐Driven Regulation of Ca2+ Flow by Ti/Zn Composite Activates ERK/MAPK Signaling and Maintains Mitochondrial Homeostasis to Promote Macrophage‐Mediated Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed interpenetrating Ti/Zn composite enables sustained Zn2+ release to regulate intracellular Ca2+ redistribution, preserve mitochondrial homeostasis, activate ERK/MAPK signaling, and promote M2 macrophage polarization, thereby enhancing osteoimmune‐mediated bone regeneration and peri‐implant osseointegration.
