Service offerings and interfaces for the ACTS network of Earth stations [PDF]

open access: yes
The Advanced Communications Satellite (ACTS) is capable of two modes of communication. Mode 1 is a mesh network of Earth stations using baseband-switched, time-division multiple-access (BBS-TDMA) and hopping beams.

An Ultrathin, Cyano‐Functionalized Copolymeric Memristor by iCVD Process for Driving Convolutional Neural Networks of High‐Resolution Images

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two‐terminal polymer memristors based on cyano‐functionalized copolymer films are developed via a solvent‐free, initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) process for high‐resolution image classification. Molecularly engineered p(CEA‐co‐DEGDVE) films enable stable, linear, and symmetric conductance modulation, supporting multi‐level weight mapping in ...

Programmable Chiral Radiation via Spin‐Decoupled Metasurface with Integrated Compound Phases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A programmable spin‐decoupled metasurface integrating propagation and geometric phases enables high‐purity chiral radiation with reconfigurable emission direction. Spin‐selective radiators combined with a compound phase decoupling strategy suppress undesired components, while embedded PIN diodes allow real‐time directional control.

Physical Interpretation of Diffractive Optical Networks for High‐Dimensional Vortex Mode Sorting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The first layer‐resolved physical interpretation of diffractive optical networks trained for high‐dimensional vortex mode sorting is presented, revealing transformation division phenomena linked to saturated performance as layer numbers increase. This analysis reconciles physical theorems with network operations, enabling physics‐driven design of ...

Thermal‐Stable and High‐Performance Organic Nonlinear Optical Chromophores for Advanced Electro‐Optic Modulators

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To address the challenge of high electro‐optic (EO) activity and thermal stability, four chromophores (BHG1–BHG4) are designed. These incorporate steric hindrance groups into the aniline donor, significantly raising their glass transition temperatures and enhancing alignment stability. The neat BHG2 film achieves an exceptional EO coefficient of 304 pm

Reversible Modification of Rashba States in Topological Insulators at Room Temperature by Edge Functionalization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Rashba edge states at the step edges of Bi2Se3 display switching behavior, according to the functionalization and defunctionalization of step edges with Se atoms that are achieved by annealing in UHV and Se flux conditions, respectively. Abstract Quantum materials with novel spin textures from strong spin‐orbit coupling (SOC) are essential ...
