Theoretical lessons are key for molecules presenting an inverted singlet‐triplet excited state (e.g. S1 and T1) energy difference. This perspective provides a snapshot of the role played by calculations in last years, not only to anticipate experimental findings but also for driving high‐throughput virtual screenings, as well as the main challenge to ...

Emerging Ta4C3 and Mo2Ti2C3 MXene Nanosheets for Ultrafast Photonics
The present study reports on the ultrafast nonlinear optical (NLO) response and carrier dynamics of two kinds of MXenes, namely Ta4C3Tx and ordered‐phase Mo2Ti2C3Tx. The Mo2Ti2C3Tx MXene is found to exhibit superior NLO response, surpassing all previously studied MXenes and other 2D nanomaterials.

Bright and Stable Electrochemiluminescence by Heterobimetallic IrIII‐MI (MI = CuI, AuI) Complexes
Bright and stable electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of a new class of heterobimetallic ionic transition metal complexes is triggered in the presence of the coreactant n‐tri propylamine (TPrA) upon highly energetic electron transfer (eT). A quantum efficiency (ΦECL) up to six‐fold higher than that of benchmark tris‐(2,2′‐bipyridyl) ruthenium(II) is ...

Privacy-Preserving for Images in Satellite Communications: A Comprehensive Review of Chaos-Based Encryption [PDF]
In an era where global connectivity has become critical, satellite communication is essential for businesses, governments, and individuals. Widely used services with satellite communication such as climate change monitoring, military surveillance and real-time event broadcasting, involve data in the form of images rather text. Therefore, securing image

Colossal Terahertz Emission with Ultrafast Tunability Based on Van der Waals Ferroelectric NbOI2
The widespread THz applications are hindered by the scarcity of efficient ultrafast THz sources with on‐demand fast modulation and easy on‐chip integration capability. Here the discovery of colossal THz emission is reported from a van der Waals (vdW) ferroelectric semiconductor NbOI2 and demonstrates the ultrafast coherent control of the THz emission ...

Upcoming communications satellites
A new series of international and business communications satellites will be launched by ‘workhorse’ rocket systems, including updated Delta and Atlas/Centaur rockets, over the next few years. There is, of course, a ‘long‐shot’ option that the space shuttle, as originally conceived, will be used to place the satellites in orbit, but no one is willing ...

Thermal Dynamics Induced by Surface Acoustic Waves in Lanthanide‐Doped Core@Multishell Nanoparticles
Accurate local temperature readout in integrated nanoscaled devices driven by high‐frequency surface acoustic waves (SAWs) has a strong technological interest. This image illustrates how lanthanide‐doped core@multishell nanoparticles can be employed as local temperature probes in SAW applications.

Photochromic compounds are versatile ingredients for the development of Chemical AI. When they are embedded in a tight microenvironment, they become Markov blankets. They are also valuable for processing Boolean and Fuzzy logic. They contribute to neuromorphic engineering in wetware based on opto‐chemical signals exchanged with oscillatory chemical ...
