Study and Capacity Evaluation of SISO, MISO and MIMO RF Wireless Communication Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
The wireless communication systems has gone from different generations from SISO systems to MIMO systems. Bandwidth is one important constraint in wireless communication. In wireless communication, high data transmission rates are essential for the services like tripple play i.e. data, voice and video. At user end the capacity determines the quality of

Toward a human‐centric co‐design methodology for AI detection of differences between planned and delivered dose in radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Many artificial intelligence (AI) solutions have been proposed to enhance the radiotherapy (RT) workflow, but limited applications have been implemented to date, suggesting an implementation gap. One contributing factor to this gap is a misalignment between AI systems and their users.

Self-Triggered Optimal Control Based on Path Search Algorithm

open access: yesSICE Journal of Control, Measurement, and System Integration, 2019
This paper proposes a path search formulation and its solution method to a finite optimal control problem on self-triggered control systems. Previous methods to the problem have high computational complexity. This paper focuses on the formulation and its

Optimized UAV Communication Protocol Based on Prior Locations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
In this paper, we adopt a new communication protocol between the UAV and fixed on-ground nodes. This protocol tends to reduce communication power consumption by stopping communication if the channel is not good to communicate (i.e. far nodes, obstacles, etc.) The communication is performed using the XBee 868M standard and Libelium wapsmotes.

Semi‐automated hippocampal avoidance whole‐brain radiotherapy planning

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Hippocampal avoidance whole‐brain radiotherapy (HA‐WBRT) is designed to spare cognitive function by reducing radiation dose to the hippocampus during the treatment of brain metastases. Current manual planning methods can be time‐consuming and may vary in quality, necessitating the development of automated approaches to streamline ...

Risk analysis of the Unity 1.5T MR‐Linac adapt‐to‐shape workflow

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose The adapt‐to‐shape (ATS) workflow on the Unity MR‐Linac (Elekta AB, Stockholm, Sweden) allows for full replanning including recontouring and reoptimization5. Additional complexity to this workflow is added when the adaptation involves the use of MIM Maestro (MIM Software, Cleveland, OH) software in conjunction with ...
