The Role of Theoretical Calculations for INVEST Systems: Complementarity Between Theory and Experiments and Rationalization of the Results

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Theoretical lessons are key for molecules presenting an inverted singlet‐triplet excited state (e.g. S1 and T1) energy difference. This perspective provides a snapshot of the role played by calculations in last years, not only to anticipate experimental findings but also for driving high‐throughput virtual screenings, as well as the main challenge to ...

Selective contact self-assembled molecules for high-performance perovskite solar cells

open access: yeseScience
This review provides a comprehensive overview of the utilization of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs), with a specific focus on their potential as hole transport layers (HTLs).

Fabrication and Optical Characterization of CMOS‐Compatible Honeycomb‐Like Large‐Scale Lattices of Near‐Field Coupled Plasmonic TiN Nanotriangles

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 19, July 4, 2025.
Honeycomb‐like plasmonic titanium nitride nanotriangle arrays are fabricated in a complementary metal‐oxide‐semiconductor pilot line. Experimental and simulated reflectances as a function of energy and in‐plane momentum match a dispersion relation based on nearest‐neighbor dipole coupling, this indicates Diract points at the K point.

Polymer Dots Exhibiting Multi‐Resonant Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence for Cellular Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
By copolymerizing with a host material, a multiple resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescent (MR‐TADF) emitter quinolino[3,2,1‐de]acridine‐5,9‐dione (QAO) is successfully assembled into water‐dispersible polymer dots (Pdots). Photophysical measurements and multichannel fluorescence imaging studies show that the narrowband emission from the MR ...

Driving Micro‐Objects Using Optical Force due to Fluorescence Emission From Molecules

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Emission of fluorescence from a micro‐object in a specific direction is expected to generate an optical force driving the object in the opposite direction of the emission, like a rocket. To demonstrate this ‘photon‐driven micro‐rocket’, we prepared dye‐doped polymer micro‐object (PMO) one surface of which was covered with metallic film; the PMO ...

Surfing the Color Map with Carbazole‐Appended Cyclometalated N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Pt Complexes and Their Application in Green Organic Light‐Emitting Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Complexes [PtII(Cbz‐C^C*bzim/im)(L^L)], bearing carbazole‐appended cyclometalated NHCs, show bright phosphorescence, peaking from the blue to the yellowish–green spectral range depending on the carbene, L^L, and doping concentration. Non‐doped OLEDs using 1A or 3A (L^L = acac or P^O2) reach the best performances (Von: 2.99 V, 2.55 V; Lmax: 39208, 25837
