A monitoring system for community-lab [PDF]
Community-Lab is an open and distributed infrastructure that provides a testbed for researchers to carry out experiments within wireless community networks. Community networks are an emergent model of infrastructures built with off-the-shelf communication equipment that aims to satisfy a community's demand for Internet access and ICT services ...

Low‐density lipoprotein receptor‐related protein 6 (LRP6) is a key receptor for the Wnt antagonist Dickkopf1 (DKK1). DKK1 protein expression is induced in a bleomycin (BLM)‐induced lung injury model. We show that DKK1 induces proinflammatory and profibrotic genes in lung fibroblasts.

Machine Learning for Inverter-Fed Motors Monitoring and Fault Detection: An Overview
Monitoring and fault detection can be critical for efficient, safe and reliable operation of electric drive systems. Unfortunately, developing accurate physics-based models for these tasks is difficult due to unknown machine parameters and incomplete ...

Strategy Communication and Measurement Systems [PDF]
Organizations often face the challenge of communicating their strategies to local decision makers. The difficulty presents itself in finding a way to measure performance which meaningfully conveys how to implement the organization's strategy at local levels. I show that organizations solve this communication problem by combining performance measures in

Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

Low-rank LQR Optimal Control Design over Wireless Communication Networks [PDF]
This paper considers a LQR optimal control design problem for distributed control systems with multi-agents. To control large-scale distributed systems such as smart-grid and multi-agent robotic systems over wireless communication networks, it is desired to design a feedback controller by considering various constraints on communication such as limited

Cell‐free and extracellular vesicle microRNAs with clinical utility for solid tumors
Cell‐free microRNAs (cfmiRs) are small‐RNA circulating molecules detectable in almost all body biofluids. Innovative technologies have improved the application of cfmiRs to oncology, with a focus on clinical needs for different solid tumors, but with emphasis on diagnosis, prognosis, cancer recurrence, as well as treatment monitoring.

A Generalized Semantic Communication System: from Sources to Channels [PDF]
Semantic communication is regarded as the breakthrough beyond the Shannon paradigm, which transmits only semantic information to significantly improve communication efficiency. This article introduces a framework for generalized semantic communication system, which exploits the semantic information in both the multimodal source and the wireless channel
