What Do We Know About Scope 3 Emissions in Small‐ and Medium‐Sized Enterprises? Mapping Current Knowledge and Advancing a Theory–Practice‐Oriented Framework

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although SMEs comprise over 90% of firms globally, research on their engagement with Scope 3 (value‐chain) greenhouse gas emissions remains limited. This PRISMA‐guided systematic review synthesises 49 SME‐relevant studies to develop a theory‐informed, practice‐oriented framework for more credible and sustained Scope 3 engagement.

An Improved Commutation Prediction Algorithm to Mitigate Commutation Failure in High Voltage Direct Current

open access: yes, 2017
Commutation failure is a common fault for line-commutated converters in the inverter. To reduce the possibility of commutation failure, many prediction algorithms based on alternating current (AC) voltage detection have already been implemented in high ...

Commutation Failure Prevention for HVDC Improvement in algorithm for commutation failure prevention in LCC HVDC

open access: yes, 2016
Line commutated HVDC systems are widely used due to their high power ratings. However, one of the disadvantages of such HVDC systems is the high risk of commutation failures when AC disturbances arise.

A partial envelope approach for modelling multivariate spatial‐temporal data

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract In the new era of big data, modelling multivariate spatial‐temporal data is a challenging task due to both the high dimensionality of the features and complex associations among the responses across different locations and time points.

Exergy-Based Energy Efficiency Analysis of the Pneumatic Drive with Controlled Braking and Compressed Air Recuperation [PDF]

open access: yesProblems of the Regional Energetics
The main objectives of the study are to develop a methodology for calculating the energy efficiency of a pneumatic drive with controlled braking and compressed air recuperation based on a three-dimensional CFD model, as well as to optimize the control ...

Stability of Viscous Three‐Dimensional Stratified Couette Flow via Dispersion and Mixing

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article explores the stability of stratified Couette flow in the viscous 3d$3d$ Boussinesq equations. In this system, mixing effects arise from the shearing background, and gravity acts as a restoring force leading to dispersive internal gravity waves.

Commutation relations for periodic operators

open access: yes, 1992
Although periodic variables are common in quantum systems, there is still some question of their proper commutation relations. We show that the standard commutation relations, when applied carefully, do not lead to inconsistencies.
