ON THE ISOMORPHISM PROBLEM FOR COMMUTATIVE SEMIGROUPS

We give some statements on the structure of finitely generated commutative semigroups which permit us to find necessary and sufficient conditions of isomorphism of two finitely presented commutative semigroups. This part of the article might be of independent interest.

The author discusses conditions which allow one to begin with a functional on a commutative topological semigroup and produce a subadditive homogeneous functional with the same zero set and the same zero convergence. He establishes a result pertaining to extensions of homogeneous triangular functionals on a topological semigroup with zero.
