Strong Planck constraints on braneworld and non-commutative inflation [PDF]
We place observational likelihood constraints on braneworld and non-commutative inflation for a number of inflaton potentials, using Planck, WMAP polarization and BAO data. Both braneworld and non-commutative scenarios of the kind considered here are limited by the most recent data even more severely than standard general-relativity models.

ABSTRACT Recent advances at the intersection of quantum physics, neuroscience, and cognitive science have renewed interest in whether quantum phenomena and quantum‐inspired formalisms can inform models of human cognition and decision‐making. While classical neural and computational models explain many aspects of perception and behavior, they face ...

A Resource Efficient Ising Model‐Based Quantum Sudoku Solver
ABSTRACT Background Quantum algorithms exploit superposition and parallelism to address complex combinatorial problems, many of which fall into the non‐polynomial (NP) class. Sudoku, a widely known logic‐based puzzle, is proven to be NP‐complete and thus presents a suitable testbed for exploring quantum optimization approaches.

On the tightness of left‐invariant contact structures
Abstract We prove that all left‐invariant contact structures on three‐dimensional Lie groups are tight. The argument is based on Riemannian methods and establishes a unique factorization property for any Lie group admitting a left‐invariant contact structure, other than SU(2)$\mathrm{SU}(2)$. We then make use of such factorization property to construct

Constraints on energy-density current- denstiy commutators
Abstract Following a recent analysis on correlations between Schwinger terms and the structure of the energy-density operator, it is shown that whenever the local generalization of the Heisenberg equations of motion for the generators of the internal symmetry group holds, then possible q-number Schwinger terms in equal time commutators involving ...

Degree theory for 4‐dimensional asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons
Abstract We develop a new degree theory for 4‐dimensional, asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons. Our theory implies the existence of gradient expanding solitons that are asymptotic to any given cone over S3$S^3$ with non‐negative scalar curvature. We also obtain a similar existence result for cones whose link is diffeomorphic to S3/Γ$S^3/\

Revisiting Ontology to Reshape Transgenerational Justice
ABSTRACT This article develops a philosophical framework for understanding transgenerationality as a foundational concept for intergenerational justice. Drawing on social ontology and the philosophy of action, it introduces the notion of transgenerational civitas—a temporally extended community composed of past, present and future generations.

Commutator anomaly for the Gauss law constraint operator
Abstract A formula useful for evaluating the commutator anomaly for the Gauss law constraint operator is presented. This formula makes the perturbative calculation of the anomaly much simpler than previous attempts. Furthermore, the commutator anomaly is shown to be derived directly from the non-abelian chiral anomaly and the perturbative calculation

On commutativity of rings with constraints involving a nil subset
The main theorem of this paper is that a ring R with unity is commutative if and only if there is a nil subset B of R such thatl. for each x ? R, either x ? Z(R) or there is a polynormial f over Z with x - x2 f (x) ? B;2. for each x, y x ? R, there are non-negative integers n > 1, m, r, s depending on a pair of ring elements x,y with x(xmy ± xrynxs)
