A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

Physical factorisation scheme for PDFs for non-inclusive applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We introduce the physical factorisation scheme, which is necessary to describe observables which are `not completely inclusive'. We derive the formulae for NLO DGLAP evolution in this scheme, and also for the `rotation' of the conventional MSbar PDFs ...

Interpretability and Representability of Commutative Algebra, Algebraic Topology, and Topological Spectral Theory for Real‐World Data

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

Some aspects of semi-abelian homology and protoadditive functors

open access: yes, 2015
In this note some recent developments in the study of homology in semi-abelian categories are briefly presented. In particular the role of protoadditive functors in the study of Hopf formulae for homology is explained.Comment: 7 ...

Around Trace Formulas in Non-commutative Integration [PDF]

open access: yesPublications of the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, 2018
Trace formulas are investigated in non-commutative integration theory. The main result is to evaluate the standard trace of Takesaki duals and, for this, we introduce the notion of interpolator and accompanied boundary objects. The formula is then applied to explore a variation of Haagerup's trace formula.

Lévy Khinchin Formula on Commutative Hypercomplex System [PDF]

open access: yesKyungpook mathematical journal, 2008
Abstract. A commutative hypercomplex system L 1 (Q,m) is, roughly speaking, a spacewhich is defined by a structure measure (c(A,B,r),(A,B ∈ β(Q)). Such space has beenstudied by Berezanskii and Krein. Our main purpose is to establish a generalization ofconvolution semigroups and to discuss the role of the L´evy measure in the L´evy-Khinchinrepresentation

The Huang–Yang Formula for the Low‐Density Fermi Gas: Upper Bound

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study the ground state energy of a gas of spin 1/2$1/2$ fermions with repulsive short‐range interactions. We derive an upper bound that agrees, at low density ϱ$\varrho$, with the Huang–Yang conjecture. The latter captures the first three terms in an asymptotic low‐density expansion, and in particular the Huang–Yang correction term of order

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

Quantum integrability of the deformed elliptic Calogero-Moser problem

open access: yes, 2004
The integrability of the deformed quantum elliptic Calogero-Moser problem introduced by Chalykh, Feigin and Veselov is proven. Explicit recursive formulae for the integrals are found.

Kinetic Contribution to the Arbitrary Order Odd Frequency Moments of the Dynamic Structure Factor

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT An exact expression is derived for the kinetic contribution to the odd (arbitrary order) frequency moments of the dynamic structure factor via a finite summation that features averages of even (all lower orders) powers of the momentum over the exact momentum distribution.
