Structuring polarization states of light in space and time. [PDF]

open access: yesNanophotonics
Abstract The spatiotemporal sculpturing of light beams with arbitrary phase and polarization topologies has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its potential to advance optical technologies and reveal novel physical phenomena. Examples of spatiotemporal beams include space–time wave packets, flying donuts, tilted pulse fronts, X‐waves,

Diffraction order-engineered polarization-dependent silicon nano-antennas metagrating for compact subtissue Mueller microscopy. [PDF]

open access: yesNanophotonics
Abstract A polarization‐dependent silicon nano‐antennas metagrating (PSNM) is proposed for parallel polarization transformation by engineering diffraction orders, upon which a compact Mueller microscopy system is implemented for subtissue‐level polarization extraction.

Complete self-calibration compact binary magneto-optic rotator based Mueller matrix polarimetry

open access: goldOptics Express, 2021
Magneto-optic (MO) based Mueller matrix polarimetry (MMP) has several advantages of compact size, no-mechanical movement and high speed. Inaccuracies of components in the polarization state generator (PSG) optical parameters will influence the measurement accuracy of MMP.

Radio Polarimetry of the ELAIS N1 Field: Polarized Compact Sources [PDF]

open access: bronzeThe Astrophysical Journal, 2007
We present deep polarimetric observations at 1420 MHz of the European Large Area ISO Survey North 1 region (ELAIS N1) as part of the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory Planck Deep Fields project. By combining closely spaced aperture synthesis fields, we image a region of 7.43 square degrees to a maximum sensitivity in Stokes Q and U of 78 microJy/

The longitudinal dynamics evolution of optical skyrmions via meta-optics. [PDF]

open access: yesNanophotonics
Abstract Skyrmions, as topologically structured light fields, have attracted considerable attention due to their unique topological properties and potential applications such as optical communication and advanced sensing technologies. However, their longitudinal evolution, as a dimension ripe for exploitation, typically remains uncontrolled and non ...

VLA polarimetry of compact steep spectrum sources [PDF]

open access: bronzeAstronomy and Astrophysics Supplement Series, 1997
We present the polarization properties at sub-arcsecond resolutions of 8 Compact Steep-spectrum Sources (CSSs) observed with the VLA A-array at 5, 8.4 and 15 GHz. We nd that the three most compact sources, two of which are unresolved and have an angular diame- ter < 100 milliarcsec are not polarized.

Exploring the Capability of Compact Polarimetry (Hybrid Pol) C Band RISAT-1 Data for Land Cover Classification

open access: goldIEEE Access, 2018
Compact Polarimetry has gained significant importance in recent years among other earth observation missions due to its low power consumption, simple architecture, and larger swath width. For space-based SAR systems, these parameters are vital to monitor
